MUSIC, CINEMA AND MOTORS

1 day Parma and Giuseppe Verdi

2 day Borghi Reggiani: Luzzara e Brescello

The Province of Reggio is the cradle of artists who have brought a great cinematographic and theatrical production all over the world. This day will be dedicated to cinematography , starting from Luzzara, the birthplace of Cesare Zavattini, writer, screenwriter, scriptwriter, director and painter who traveled all over the world still remaining closely bonded to his village on the Po river. Continuation to Brescello, another small village on the banks of the great river Po made famous by the characters “Don Camillo and Peppone” whose vicissitudes have beautyfully sketched the peasant daily life of Emilia, its villages and common people. Visit to the museum dedicated to them, and to the museum “Brescello and Guareschi, the territory and the cinema”; walk through the streets of the town where we will meet Peppone and Don Camillo, as well as the famous crucifix with whom the eccentric parish priest used to converse.

Possibility of lunch in one of the taverns in the centre, based on typical products and with the local dessert, the Spongata.

3rd day The Motor valley, famous all over the world, is located right between Modena and Bologna. Here were born the great factories of Lamborghini, Maserati, Pagani, Ferrari and Ducati. Possibility to visit the dedicated museums and discover how these fantastic sports cars and motorcycles are born, through a guided tour of the factories, production and assembly lines. For history lovers, we certainly recommend a visit to the Enzo Ferrari Museums in Modena, the Ferrari Museum in Maranello and the Lamborghini Museum in Sant’Agata Bolognese, ending with the Ducati Museum in Bologna. For those who want to get to know the “made in Italy” better, we recommend the factory tours, starting from the Maserati of Modena, passing through the exclusive Pagani, up to the Lamborghini or Ducati motorcycles. Continuation to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

4th day Bologna “navel of everything” as Guccini sang! University city and deeply linked to Art in all of its forms. A day in the capital of Emilia allows you to discover important artistic places. For cinephiles, the renowned Cineteca di Bologna is a true paradise: possibility of a guided tour of the area known as Manifattura delle Arti (internal rooms of the Cineteca on request) and film tourism itineraries in the historic center of Bologna, the set of some important productions of Pupi Avati, Salvatores, Manetti Bros or follow the footsteps of Pier Paolo Pasolini, born here 100 years ago. But Bologna is also a Unesco creative city for music: from the historic choir of the great churches through the first concerts of Mozart and ending up in the “piazza grande” of Lucio Dalla. Guided tour about music and the possibility of extending the day with the choice of visiting the International Museum of Music or the Oratory of San Colombano.

Lunch in a restaurant in the historical centre.
